So i went there and i have seeing meny options to down load, now which one do i need to download? I have: Window XP Dialogic Card: D4pci 4 port pci board. Guest Tina Report post Posted 09/10/2004 07:50 PM Hi Support, I had the same problem as described above: "I did download the "System Release 5.1.1 Service Pack 1" then when i click on "setup.exe" to install the application, then I got a massage:" A supported system release has not been detected. setup will now Exit"" Thus, I am very interested in the answer to the question of how to download drivers for a Windows XP System. Additionally, is this download a trial version of the dialogic software? If so, does purchasing a license for the Katalina software include a stable, permanent version of the drivers. If not, how does one acquire the necessary software to run your program and how much does it cost? Thank you in advance for your technical support. Tina Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 09/10/2004 08:30 PM Before installing "System Release 5.1.1 Service Pack 1" you need to have "System Release 5.1.1" installed on the system. "System Release 5.1.1 Service Pack 1" is a patch to be applied over the already installed "System Release 5.1.1" Share this post Link to post
Guest amis Report post Posted 09/11/2004 12:31 AM Thanks Alot, Now, After i download SR 5.1.1 (about 350 Meg of memory) on my window xp sp2, what other files do i need to download (and in what order), in order to be able to run the VG thru d/4pci can you please, please, be precise with your answer on which programs to download and on the procedure. i know that some other of your clients as me (a non tichnician oriented people) don't want to bother you with more questions, but still like to know how. P.S. to use only one line, would it be just enough, to hook the phone line from the wall to the dialog card (after downloads)? I admire your patience and knowledge Amis. Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 09/11/2004 12:38 AM Just install "System Release 5.1.1" and then install "System Release 5.1.1 Service Pack 1". Instructions on installing VoiceGuide on Dialogic systems are available here: http://www.voiceguide.com/vghelp/html/Inst...allDialogic.htm After installing just plug the phone line into any of the ports on Dialogic card. Guest amis Report post Posted 09/12/2004 06:22 PM Thanks for the follow up, I did what you suggested, and after installation i tried to use the Tapi "Talker 32 demonstration", but when i call the system, i don’t get any response from the system (Auto Answer, and Auto Play is on). One hint that something is wrong is when i click "Info" button (next to the call button) i have this status on the upper left: " General (Line type: unknown)" To me it looks like i configured everything right, because i followed instruction precisely, and i had no problems during installation, but when you see that "line type is unknown" compare to screen shut at the installation instruction which the text there at the same spot says: " General (Line type: Dialogic gen 2)" you know something is wrong. Please look at that issue and give me an advise on what to do next. Thank You, Amis. Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 09/13/2004 12:16 AM Do all of the lines listed say "General (Line type: unknown)" ? Could you please post a copy of VoiceGuide's Debug Printout which captures the problem, this will allow us to see what is going wrong. When running the script click on VoiceGuide's view menu and select 'Event Trace Log' option - then set the trace level to '10'. The restart VG - there should be log files in \log\ subdirectory - please post the MMDDvgm.txt log file - at the beginning of the start it should list all of the line devices available on the system. Guest amis Report post Posted 09/13/2004 07:48 AM Dear Support Team! To answer your first Question: Line 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, are "General (Line type: unknown)" Let me allso add that line 5 has a black mark on it, and when I start VG I get this massage: "Failed to open line 5, reason=LINEERR_OPERATIONUNAVAIL" Line 7, 8, 9, 10 are "General (Line type: Dialogic Gen 2)" About your second paragraph “Could you…” I didn’t know how to do that, all I got is this: 001518.62 0 sys cleanup Start 001518.63 0 sys cleanup End 001640.95 0 linedevstate 512 0 0 003709.27 0 linedevstate 1024 0 0 While trying to find a way, I hooked the phone line to my soft modem and I managed to work it through my soft modem (not dialogic card) Now, when I start VG then I get this: Agere System PCI soft modem Waiting for a call…. Analog line 1(dxxxB1C1) Wave Driver not installed Analog line 2(dxxxB1C2) Initialising… Analog line 3(dxxxB1C3) Initialising… Couple of issues here: 1. Where is Analog line number 4 ? 2. Why it’s says that Wave Driver not installed ? (I am already working with the Wave files, when I called the system hooked to my soft modem, I hear the credit card sound). To sum it up It is working with my soft modem. As you see for some reason it doesn’t recognize my Dialogic card. Some of my lines don't work. Analog line 4(dxxxB1C4) where is it? and Issue with line 5 the one that marked in black color. Hope you can help, Thanks, Amis Share this post Link to post

Guest amis Report post Posted 09/13/2004 09:28 AM You are RIGHT! I manage to install the “wave” and it’s working properly with the dialogic card. However I still have couple of issues: Line 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, are "General (Line type: unknown)" Let me allso add that line 5 has a black mark on it, and when I start VG I get this massage: "Failed to open line 5, reason=LINEERR_OPERATIONUNAVAIL" Line 7, 8, 9, 10 are "General (Line type: Dialogic Gen 2)" The other issue is: Agere System PCI soft modem Waiting for a call…. Analog line 1(dxxxB1C1) Waiting for a call…. Analog line 2(dxxxB1C2) Waiting for a call…. Analog line 3(dxxxB1C3) Waiting for a call…. Where is Analog line number 4 ? And why “Agere System PCI soft modem” is still showing. The third issue is: In the “device Manager” I have yellow exclamanations (!) on "Agere system pci soft modem #2" And I have “X” on the other (Second) "Agere system pci soft modem #2" Please help, Thanks for your patience with me, Amis. SupportTeam Report post Posted 09/13/2004 10:38 AM Where is Analog line number 4 ? For how many lines is your VoiceGuide license? (Evaluation license is for 4 lines) In the “device Manager” I have yellow exclamanations (!) on "Agere system pci soft modem #2" And I have “X” on the other (Second) "Agere system pci soft modem #2" Don't know, you'd need to speak with Agere about why their drivers act like this... SupportTeam Report post Posted 09/13/2004 08:32 PM I'd suggest running the VoiceGuide Configuration Wizard again - and then start VoiceGuide and send us a screenshot showing what VG reports the 4 lines as. Share this post Link to post
Guest amis Report post Posted 09/14/2004 02:28 AM Thank You, Guise! You are gooood, When i went to reconfigered the VG wizard i found that i selected not only the four lines, i also selected the soft modem (5 lines totals), so the system probebly look at the first four lines for use, and the soft modem was first in line, so thats why it was showing, now after i reconfigered i choose only the four lines and..... Wallllla, the screen showes the four line correctly: Analog line 1(dxxxB1C1) Waiting for a call…. Analog line 2(dxxxB1C2) Waiting for a call…. Analog line 3(dxxxB1C3) Waiting for a call…. Analog line 4(dxxxB1C4) Waiting for a call…. THank all, Amis. Share this post Link to post
