Guest Phillip Report post Posted 04/22/2003 03:07 AM Thanks for adding the “Senders” name box in the e-mail module. Some SMTP servers require authentication before allowing you to send mail, like POP authentication, where a username and password are entered (like Outlook does). Do you foresee adding this feature anytime in the near future? Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 04/23/2003 01:34 AM We have not received any requests for this feature before, I understand that a great majority of SMTP servers do not ask for authentication - and usually VoiceGuide is set up to connect to company’s internal SMTP server - and the likelihood of these being set up to require authentication is even lower. If it however became a requirement for client then there should be no problems having this feature added... Share this post Link to post
Guest Phillip Report post Posted 04/23/2003 03:40 PM I wouldn’t make the assumption that because a company wants an IVR system that they have an SMTP server. Most ISPs in the US no longer allow relaying due to SPAM, and require authentication. Although I may be the first to request such a feature, you’ll probably get more in time. Thanks.
