Guest amis Report post Posted 10/03/2004 09:04 AM Dear Support Team! When i used the build in, credit card record Script, and i call the system then i get the caller I.D. on the call log. but, when i call the system for the script that i have created, i don't get the caller I.D. on the call log. Any idea, why the system acting this way? Thanks, Amis. Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 10/03/2004 09:19 PM Reception of Caller ID is independent of what script is used, but maybe you have set for the system to answer call too early - CallerID usually arrived between 1st and 2nd rings.. after how many rings are you answering the call? (set to 3 to be safe) Share this post Link to post
Guest amis Report post Posted 10/03/2004 09:32 PM Hi, In all my 4 lines, it's set up to answer after 0 rings, incloudes the credit card script. so, as you see it is answer "credit card" script with caller I.D. even though it's answer after 0 rings, but with my script, no caller I.D. Thanks, Amis. Share this post Link to post
Guest amis Report post Posted 10/03/2004 09:42 PM I set it up for 3 rings, and still no caller i.d. Amis. Share this post Link to post

Guest amis Report post Posted 10/05/2004 11:00 PM Dear Support team, When i used the build in, credit card record Script, and i call the system then i get the caller I.D. on the call log. but, when i call the system for the script that i have created, i don't get the caller I.D. on the call log. In all my 4 lines, it's set up to answer after 3 rings. What should i do to get caller's I.D. Thanks, Amis. Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 10/06/2004 10:51 AM Could you please post a copy of VoiceGuide's Debug Printout which captures an incoming call when each of the scripts is selected as the one to run after the call is answered, this will allow us to see what is happening on the system. (When running the script click on VoiceGuide's View menu and select 'Event Trace Log' option - any log information will then appear in this window. You must open the trace window before making the call.) As mentioned before, reception of CallerID is something that happens before the call is answered, and the starting of the script is something that happens after the call is answered - so selection of one script or another should not be affecting whether or not you receive the CallerID... Guest amis Report post Posted 10/06/2004 08:16 PM Dear Support Team! Yes, i know that's why it doesn't make sense to me that with one script i get the caller i.d an not with the other one. Here is the call log for the script that doesn't get the caller i.d. SupportTeam Report post Posted 10/10/2004 07:50 AM Traces show first call arrived on line ID '7', and the second call arrived on a different line - ID '8'... Can you post a trace when call arrives on line ID '7' and your script is used... At this stage I'd suspect that you have one line enabled for CallerID and the other line is not enabled to deliver CallerID... Share this post Link to post
Guest amis Report post Posted 10/10/2004 08:16 AM Thanks for your quick response, I don't understand, i called from my phone to one line in the system (dxxxB1c2) and heared the "Credit Card Payment" play script and caller i.d. showed. Then i change the script to "my script", and called from the same telephone to the system to the same "box" (dxxxB1c2), i heared my script, but when i checked for the caller i.d. it wasn't there, the only thing that was there is the date and the time. Dear support person, i don't want to ask too meny questions, i know you are buissy with other client, but please let me know what it meanes line id 7 & id 8 also, how could it be different lines when i used the same exact telephone called to the same box. Thanks, Amis Share this post Link to post

Guest amis Report post Posted 10/11/2004 12:01 AM Hi, I have 4 lines, now what i found out is that from 3 lines iget caller i.d. and 1 line no caller i.d. before it was exactly different, i would get caller i.d. from 1 line and not from the other 3 caller i.d., it acts strange! what i am going to do is call my phone company on monday and ask them to make sure that all the 4 lines are caller i.d. abale. if there is something to do with VG please let me know, otherwise i'll take care of it my self. Any way THANKS ALLOT, I know you have try heard. Thank again, Amis. Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 10/11/2004 04:20 AM There is nothing that you need to do with VG - just make sure that the phone company enables the sending of CallerID on all 4 lines. Share this post Link to post
