Guest Juan Aguirre Report post Posted 10/19/2004 12:10 AM I just got a D/600SC-2E1 already installed on an IBM Netfinity Server running Windows 2000 SP-3, and somehow, only recognizes 1 port (30 channels). As you'll be able to see on the screen shots included, altough I phisically have a D/600SC, the system initially recognizes it as a D/300SC. When I run tests with the UDD, in runs it on both a mother and "slave" cards (each with 30 channels). In says something about "interrupt" (and so far I think it refers to the IRQ's in the server. I've already gone trough the system administration and there are no IRQ conflicts with local devices; according to the card's configuration, IRQ 7 is been used (without any other device using this IRQ). So far, I´ve tried looking at how IRQ and resources are assigned on the BIOS, but didn't get lucky. I've even tried reformating the server, doing a clean install, and installed the latest version from Dialogic's system release (v.5.1.1) including it's service pack...no luck. SupportTeam Report post Posted 12/17/2004 10:27 PM Looked through the list and the only thing that is a bit different from standard Registry shows that switch is set to an ID of '10' instead of the usual 0 or 1 that most people set their 'Card ID' selector switched on the spine of the card to, not that this should be the cause of any problems... I'd probably recommend speaking to the Dialogic supplier who sold you this card... Share this post Link to post

I'll try to get in touch with the seller, although not even Intel/Dialogic provide support for this OLD model (market 1997 on the plate). Just one more thing; I can't seem to find schematics for this card over the internet, and am not so sure about some switches on the board, could you please help me? Particularly, I need help for the jumpers located at the base of each "female" conector (pic 04), the "switch" located on one end of the card (Pic 05), and two switches located beside the "female" conectors, right beside some leds (pic 06). Pics 01 thru 03 are just for reference, so you can see the card I have, although on a sticker located on the "side" of the card (pic 03) it reads "Dialogic D/600SC 2E1 75". SupportTeam Report post Posted 12/28/2004 09:44 PM (edited) the jumpers located at the base of each "female" conector (pic 04), I’d say these would be used to change the resistance of the terminations of the coax connectors - but am not sure as we’ve never really worked with the ‘Coaxial’ versions of the cards… If these are the termination switches then these would not affect how the board is detected by the DCM. the "switch" located on one end of the card (Pic 05), The grey rotating switch is used to set the board ID. Just set it to 0 or 1 (each board in system should have it’s rotating board ID switch set to a different value) and two switches located beside the "female" connectors, right beside some leds (pic 06). I’d say these would be used to place lines into ‘loopback’ mode – these would not affect how the board is detected by the DCM. Just more on pic04 - given that each coax connector seems to have it’s own switch I'd say it's a safe bet these switches would not affect how the board is detected by the DCM.
