Digital-Comfort Report post Posted 10/28/2004 02:26 AM I finally got the modem to pickup and answer run through the modules but when I try to enter numbers the modem is not hearing them. The touch tones are not being picked up. the old modem worked for this but needed to replace it because it did not have Caller ID. any help? Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 10/28/2004 02:59 AM Some modems just do not detect tones very well when a sound file is played by the modem at the same time - but we have not yet come across any that do not detect tones at all. Can you try calling from a different phone? Ultimately the best solution is to get a Dialogic card... Share this post Link to post
Digital-Comfort Report post Posted 10/28/2004 04:31 AM Yes I have tried two different phones and a cell phone, waited for the sound file to stop and "listen" for tones but when I press them in it responds with nothing. Does not even blink the log file. I did notice that the inband was not enabled... does this matter? It showed up in the log... P.S. I am evaluating the Dialogic cards now... What is the opinion on Retorex? Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 10/28/2004 06:35 AM I did notice that the inband was not enabled That does not affect DTMF detection - it has to do with PBX signaling at beginning of call. What is the opinion on Retorex? Retorex is not supported. Share this post Link to post
