Dialogic D4/pci Recognition

Recommended Posts

Hi

I have installed a Dialogic D4/PCI on my Win 2000 system. I don't have the driver, but I don't think this is a problem for Voiceguide to function with this board. The problem is that the "Dialogic" service does not start at all: in the "Properties" section of the board, I tried to put all the values as suggested by the "Control Panel" -> "System" applet, but it didn't help.

Can anybody please point me in the right direction ?

Thank you

I don't have the driver,

Have you installed the Dialogic System Release 5.1.1 drivers?

Can you please post some screenshots which show what you are doing/seeing.

I have installed Dialogic System Release 5.1.1, but when I try to install the driver from the .inf file in the /DRVR subdirectory, the system asks me for a .sys file (with identical name to the .inf before the dot) that is unavailable in all the directories of the installation.

From other messages found on this forum, it seems that this is not a real problem for the functionality of Voiceguide: it is just something annoying because at every startup of the PC the system asks for a driver for the board.

The problem comes out in the "DCM configuration" program: I tried to change the main parameters (Slot ID, PCI bus ID, and the third that I don't remember - sorry but I am at home) and to "start the service" from the red button at the top of the form, once for each changed value. Then I tried again changing the slot of the board, but without luck.

Can anybody please help ?

If it could be of any help, please send the forum a brief reply and I will post screenshots of the forms where I've worked in tomorrow.

Thank you

Have you read the bottom part of this page: http://www.voiceguide.com/vghelp/html/Inst...allDialogic.htm ?

But all this does not really matter - you should be able to just install SR5.1.1, run DCM immediately after installation and start the board immediately - if this is not happening for you then I'd just start trying another computer.

I just tried with another computer, but the problem still remains.

In the attached file the screen of the DCM (Dialogic Configuration Manager) I tried to modify, after seeing that the default values were not functioning. The new values are taken from the screen on the left, from the win 2000 control panel.

The result I am obtaining is a "Error starting dialogic service" trying to activate the board.

Please help me

Thank you

Maybe there is the problem with the card itself...

It's probably best you speak with the distributor from where you have purchased the card...
