Is there a way to know if a caller succesfully leave a message to a mailbox? What variable to access which I can use to turn on the message lamp on the pabx. Secondly, another variable which will show if a message has been read on a mailbox which I can use also to turn off message lamp?

What tones do you need to send to your PBX to turn a certain extension's lamp on/off ?

The tone to send is 701xxx to turn on message lamp and to turn off message lamp is 700xxx where xxx is the extension number.

 

By the way, can the voicemail retrieve menu accept a pass-on mailbox number? i.e. similar to voicemailbox $RV[inband]... on paths. If this is possible, when accessing the voicemail locally you will no longer ask for the mailbox number but instead pin number immediately because my pabx will inbandly send the extension number whenever you access the voicemail port via extension port.
