sabaoth Report post Posted 12/07/2004 11:03 AM VG has been running well for a year and a half. Suddenly, it began a hangup problem. Having no success resolving VG immediately hanging up on callers, I chose to uninstall and re-install the program. Bad choice. Now, the program will not run at all. I get an error message at startup of the program declaring I'm not authorized for the configuration. I CAN open the script editor, and tried entering the registration code there. Does no good. I'm absolutely blocked. I've come from Milano to Rome to help get the system going again for the church here, and need immediate help. Help! sabaoth Report post Posted 12/07/2004 03:19 PM Absolutely blocked. I tried the posted "delete the file USERINFO.INI" and restarted Voiceguide. Still the program will not run. I can enter the registration number inside the script editor, but the Voiceguide will not run. When trying to open it I get this exact message: "You do not have an appropriate licence to use this functionality" Whatever in the world that means!? We are absolutely blocked, having spent the money for the 4 line license to go with the Dialogic card. All worked fine for nearly two years, until 3 weeks ago. Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 12/07/2004 08:38 PM All worked fine for nearly two years, until 3 weeks ago. Were there any changes done to the machine at that time? Please try uninstalling VG, then ensure that the following two files are deleted from Windows' System32 directory: TAPIWRAP.OCX SAPIWRAP.OCX Then install VoiceGuide. Share this post Link to post
sabaoth Report post Posted 12/08/2004 04:52 AM Have tried un-installing but the un-install program will not run, declaring it cannot find the installation file. Will it be risky to simply "delete" the program and these files? Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 12/08/2004 06:42 AM Just deleting all the files is OK. If you get into trouble installing after not following proper uninstall procedure (which happens rarely but has occurred for some users) you may want to read this post: http://voiceguide.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=487 Share this post Link to post
