Routing Calls Based On Ani Or Cid

Recommended Posts

I am using an adtran 750 to portion four lines to a Dialogic d/41d ISA board running on a win2K box. My carrier is sending ANI information with each call in this format "*1234567890 *8008008000*" I would like to route the call based on the inbound 800# also I would like the file that is created to use the 800 inbound ie. 8008008000.txt …

So how would I do this any ideas?

Is "*1234567890 *8008008000*" sent as inband signaling, or as part of Caller ID signaling?

If it's Inband Signaling then VoiceGuide can easily read that info and use it in a script...

If it's sent as "Caller ID" then it all depends on how the Dialoigic's TAPI driver interprets this info and then reports it to VoiceGuide.

Could you please send us a copy of VoiceGuide's Debug Printout which captures an incoming call, this will allow us to see what is going on.

(When running the script click on VoiceGuide's View menu and select 'Event Trace Log' option - any log information will then appear in this window. You must open the trace window before making the call.)

Was the inband information sent when during the call that you sent the trace through?

Inband tones should start playing as soon as the call is answered - yet we could not see them in this trace... (or your modem cannot detect any DTMF tones when a sound file is playing...)

When you attach that telephone line to a handset and answer an incoming call can you hear DTMF tones being played? If you can't hear the tones then the Inband Signaling is not being sent...

Unfortunately the server is in a remote location. I will plan a trip for tomorrow to investigate these questions. I am running a Dialogic D/41D this should handle inband signaling. If this is the case then the problem should be at the switch side or in the Adtran 750 that I am running. When I do get this running properly. How would I do the routing… I have not found any info on this related topic in your help files. Cuold you please send me a how to on this… mjennings@dsysgroup.net

PS thank you for your help

Michael

Are you using v4.9 of VoiceGuide? (if not then plz download and use that version)

Help file in v4.9 has a chapter on setting up Inband Signaling.

It can also be found in this thread:

http://katalinatech.com/forums/index.php?a...?act=ST&f=2&t=6

you may also want to see:

http://katalinatech.com/forums/index.php?a...ct=ST&f=2&t=195

Routing would be done inside your script based on the Result Variable set by the Inband Signaling.
