SupportTeam Report post Posted 01/30/2003 01:14 PM The following questions , I am using win 98 and a voice modem (conexant) When I am in a module playing a wave file, and the callers hangs up the phone, the program doesn't release the line inmediatly but seems to keep playing the wave file, and this could last for 20 30 seconds before I can again call in, so how do I force the script (program) to disconnect right away Thank U Frank Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 01/30/2003 01:21 PM Looks like your modem cannot detect the busy tone which the telephone network should be sending the the caller hangs up the call... If if did detect the busy tone VoiceGuide would hang up immediately and prepare to recieve another call. When modem does not report the busy tone VoiceGuide will hang up when it times out waiting for an input from the caller at some point in the script... In your case if user has not entered a response within 10 seconds of the last replay of the sound file in a Play module then VoiceGuide will hang up.. (if you have no lengthy Timout paths defined from that module - then VG will on timeout go to next module...) Unreliable detection of busy tones by many modems is one reason why we recommend using Dialogic cards... Share this post Link to post
