Hardware Advice

Recommended Posts

Hi,

We are currently using voice guide with a 4 line system through a dialogic card. I am considering making a big leap in the number of calls we can support a large volume of calls simultaneously.

I am aware that voice guide goes upto 60 lines, what i would like to know is how can i have such capicity but avoid the need for 60 anolog lines and for large numbers of dialogic cards.

What is the next step up in hardware so that i could handle 100's of call at the same time?

Any resources you can point me to would be most helpful.

Kind Regards

Dan

Look at using Digital T1 or E1 lines.

T1 line can handle 24 calls.

E1 line can handle 30 calls.

T1 is used in US. E1 is used in rest of world.

You should look at the DMV1200B card (make sure it s a 'B' series!). That card can accept 4 T1 or 4 E1 connections. You may want to email sales@voiceGuide.com - there are some very good bundling deals on that card along with the VoiceGuide software.

Otherwise you can also look at D/240JCT or D/300JCT which an handle one T1/E1 respectively, or look at D/480JCT or D/600JCT which an handle two T1/E1 connections respectively.

When ordering your T1 or E1 lines from the phone company it's highly recommended that you go with ISDN configuration and not Robbed Bit or CAS.
