Sr 5.1.1 Service Does Not Start

Hello,

 

Currently we have a Windows 2003 Standard Edition server (Clean Installation) with two DL480JCT/2T1 cards installed. I have installed SR 5.1.1, SP 1 for SR 5.1.1. I cannot get the service to start at all. I am receiving the following error in the event viewer "The Dialogic System Service terminated with service-specific error 16383 0x3FFF.

Some of the immediate things we'd be looking at:

 

- Is each card's ID switch set to a different value?

- are the cards connected together by the SCSA ribbon cable?

- can you start system when only one card is present (try separately with each card)

- with one card in system try using different PCI slots

- try specifying different IRQs and memory addresses to use in the in the DCM.

 

In general try getting the system started with one board first then add the second card.

Hi,

I have comes across the same problem installing 2x D/4 PCI-U cards on a Windows XP system.

 

check your build number in the Confi Manager (under Help > About)

most likely you have an old Build (Build 30, if installing from the CDs)

 

go to:

and download the Build 89 update, this has the solution for win xp
