VocieGuide (TAPI version), Announced Transfer

Recommended Posts

We are using VG with a KCE FX-416 PBX. Attached is the Event Trace of the problem in question. VG transfers calls to the requested ext just fine, unless the ext is busy. If it is busy the call is disconnected rather then taking the fail path ???

We were previously using a simpler version PBX, the KCE FX-207, that performed this same script with out a problem.

Thanks

Dan Clements

Any chance someone has looked at this yet? After reading other post, it seams to be that the card, a D41/D, need to distinguish between a busy and the disconnect busy. I have used PBXpert but it appears that the busy and disconnect cadences are only 10 mls apart. My reorder test on PBXpert fails.

Thanks

Dan

Ok, now I am beginning to feel unloved . . . I've seen many post answered since mine yet I am ignored??? I’m sure it’s an over sight. Is support not working? I have bought two versions of Voice Guide? I love the product . . . Just need some help here.

After the prior post, I have tried to set the Disc Tones to 0. The result is an immediate hang up, after script answer. I have then changed the Disc tones to 1000 with like a 5 min on off cadence time. The script runs as before, when transferred to busy extension voice guide hangs up. Event trace show remote party disconnects. I’ve called in manually form both a cell phone and a land line, to simulate the actions of voice guide. All that is heard is the busy tone played on the line.

Are you using a Dialogic card?

We have a patch for this problem for you to try out if you are using a Dialogic card.

Thanks for sending the patch. I see from the read me file that I need Dialogic's SR 5.1.1 and global call installed. My card is a D41/d. Dialogic has stopped supporting this card. The documentation with the SR 5.1.1 said it is the last release to support ISA cards .. . the question is will SR5.1.1 still work on the D41/d? Supported hardware in the documentation shows only the d41/H. I am hesitant to try, as I have a Simi-functioning system now.

Thanks

Ok,

I found the time to do the SR 5.1.1sps install. And followed the instructions provided with the patch. I did not download a new version of VG, Instead I am using my current version that I purchased. 6.0.1005 Professional Version.

It looks like the SR installed with out a hitch, and the board starts the first time! All of the files were placed in the correct directories per the instructions. Now when I fire up VG it show no line status, when I click config wizard, it says I need to edit Config.xml. I am using a D41/d , 4 port analog. When I edit config.xml it shows the line names correctly. I don't know what to change.

What to do next?

Thanks

Please enable logging by editing the VG.INI's [Log] section as per below:

[Log]

;Automated "log-to-file" logging.

;To turn OFF logging for a particular application set it's entry to 0

;To turn ON all logging for a particular application set it's entry to 10

;all log files are saved in VoiceGuide's \log\ subdirectory

;log files are names as following:

;VoiceGuide: MMDDvgm.txt

;NumberLoader: MMDDtnl.txt

;EmailSender: MMSSes.txt

;TapiWrapOcx: MMDDtw.txt

;SapiWrapOcx: MMDDsw.txt

VoiceGuide=10

NumberLoader=10

VoicemailManager=10

EmailSender=10

TapiWrapOcx=10

SapiWrapOcx=10

Then start VG and post the MMDDvgm.txt and MMDDtw.txt log files here. They will tell us what is the system status and what is going on.

If you edited the Config.xml file then please post it as well.

Wonderful!

Installed the new patch, and the line status worked!

Attached are the log files as requested. I now have an issue with the sound files. The scripts appear to be working, however no sound files play when calling into the system. I noticed on the VG for Dialogic installation guide that all sound files used with this system should be in PCM 8khz 8bit mono. My scripts are all created with MuLaw 8khz 8bit mono as the Dialogic D41/d only supports this format.

Is this the issue? If so is there a workaround for the D41/d ?

Thanks

Dan

The traces posted do not capture any incoming calls...

Correct. All sound files should be in this format. This includes your card.

My scripts are all created with MuLaw 8khz 8bit mono as the Dialogic D41/d only supports this format.

The MuLaw files had to be used for that card with the old 'TAPI' based version of VG. The 'Dialogic' version of VG uses PCM 8khz 8bit mono.

Also looks like for some reason you do not have the ConfigLine.xml file in VG's \data\ subdirectory... please place the attached file there.

Thanks for the reply! I added the file.

Now a new issue. I was working with ProPromts to convert my system files to the correct format as I never downloaded the current version of VG before installing the patch. I was hoping to avoid the lag time with getting a new registration. A few days ago all the line stats were fine. Today I get a Init Error: dlgc Dx_open(Dxxb1) error 2 (enoent|No such file or directory; invalid device name; file or path not found.) When I click ok, I get a pop up " registration not valid for this computer please check the registration details"

Register V6.0.1020 shows a Unique ID as M9C7C.

Please help. Do I need to download the new version first, and then install the patch in order to get the 11k,8bit, mono system files? Is their a way to just replace the system voice files and keep this Unique ID to avoid the lag time?

Thanks

Dan Clements

Error: dlgc Dx_open(Dxxb1) error 2 (enoent|No such file or directory; invalid device name; file or path not found.)

This suggests your Config.xml file is not set up right...

Please post your Config.xml file from VG's \data\ subdirectory.

Passed on the registration code info to sales@voiceguide.com

Thanks for the help on this! My error, the reason for the issue was becasue I had failed to start the card with DCM! I am still having some other issues but will start a new post as it seam to non-related to this issue.
