I've noticed that I have the 4.8.45 version of VG. Could this be the problem? When I downloaded the trial version over a month ago, the new version 4.9 wasn't released yet. Could this be the source of the problem? Possibly the code I recently received is for the new version instead of the old version? I've tried it several times using cut/paste instead of typing the code in, and to no avail it still doesn't work. Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 05/07/2003 10:55 PM If you received your code over the last two weeks it would have been for v4.9.0 (there should be a note in registration email advising of this) v4.9 codes will not work for v4.8.x and vice-versa.. Now that I've followed your instructions to upgrade to 4.9, I now have a different unique system identifier. Therefore the code given me wont work. The entire day it takes to get a response from support is starting to place this software in the medicore category. I have downloaded the 4.9 version or Voice Guide as instructed by Support and have yet to be able to register the software. It responds with "Invalid code". The dilema we're having now is the registration number I was issued with the version 4.8 isn't working with 4.9. Shouldn't I be issued a new code that is compatible with 4.9? I don't think what I'm doing will work without first obtaining the VG v4.9 and then informing support of the new Unique Identifier code, which I've already done.
