Guest Jack_VR Report post Posted 01/20/2005 02:40 PM Hi There, I just upgraded Voice Guide from professional version to enterprise. But right after the upgrading, my hung up script no longer works. What would be the reason? How can I use my hung up script in Voice Guide Enterprise version? Regards, Jack Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 01/20/2005 08:36 PM You are able to use the 'on hangup' script in either version. What is the problem that you are experiencing? Could you please post a copy of VoiceGuide's Debug Printout which captures the problem, this will allow us to see what is going wrong. When running the script click on VoiceGuide's View menu and select 'Event Trace Log' option - any log information will then appear in this window. You must open the trace window before making the call. Share this post Link to post
Guest Jack_VR Report post Posted 01/20/2005 10:01 PM Hi There, I have two scripts: One is the regular script : play voice message and hung up. The second one is a script which can save the phone number we just called into a file. Before I upgraded the license, it worked file. After I upgraded the license to enterpise version, I could see the hung up script was not called by the system. One thing I need to tell you is how I upgraded the license. I simply erase the userinfo file in voice guide folder, and start voice guide again, then the software asked for the register code, I input the data and restart the software again. Is there any problem about the upgrading processing? Regards, Jack Share this post Link to post

Guest Any suggestions? Report post Posted 01/24/2005 02:41 PM Hi there, Is there any suggestion about this problem? Regards, Jack Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 01/25/2005 01:18 AM The "After Hangup" script runs OK, but in the vb script: 090318.42 9 eng run [ "C:\Program Files\VoiceGuide\data\vbs_9_1.vbs" //I //T:5] copy of script in: vbs_9_1.vbs 090318.44 9 Shell run Failed, err[53:File not found] Shell parameter = [ "C:\Program Files\VoiceGuide\data\vbs_9_1.vbs" //I //T:5] 090318.45 9 VBScript run Failed, dShellId=0, Shell parameter = [ "C:\Program Files\VoiceGuide\data\vbs_9_1.vbs" //I //T:5] It looks like in your case the ShellHandler entry in VG.INI file is either missing or not set to anything... did you edit the VG.INI file? Find the VBScript section in your VG.INI file. It should look like this: [VBScript] UseSafeSubset=1 ShellHandler=wscript This would affect all VBScript modules in all scripts... Guest Jack_VR Report post Posted 01/25/2005 03:01 PM Hi there, As I told you before, I didn't modify VG.ini file. The only thing I did was rename old vg.ini to vg_2lines.ini. re-run VG and created a new vg.ini (and saved a backup file named vg_4lines.ini). I send you those two files, hopefully you can find something useful for us. Regards, Jack vg_ini.zip Share this post Link to post
Guest Jack_VR Report post Posted 01/25/2005 03:25 PM Hi there, I found the reason by following your suggestion. I renamed the configuration file before I input the new registration code. I thought the system would create a new configuration file after I input the new reg-code, but it didn't. After I copied the old 2_lines configuration file back, everything seems working fine. Regards, Jack Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 01/25/2005 08:43 PM I thought the system would create a new configuration file after I input the new reg-code, but it didn't. The configuration file is there to tell VoiceGuide what settings to use... if the configuration file is not present then VoiceGuide does not know what settings to use.... If you want to make a backup copy of VG.INI then do just that - make a copy, not remove the file altogether... Share this post Link to post
