Using An 8 Port Card With 4 Ports/licenses

Hi, I may want to buy an 8 port card, hook it up to 4 lines to start with, then move up to 8 lines later.

 

So, can a 4 line VG license be upgraded to 8 port later and yet still work with an 8 port card, but only using 4 lines to start with?

Sure it can. Just select which 4 lines of the 8 port card you want VG to use. Just like how you should be able to select the lines right now with the evaluation license...
