Vb Scrip Keep Running.

I have bought a voice modem Blaster v.92 usb.MODEL de5671. for my lab top to develop my programs.

 

by Vb scrip is working fine with my VG scrip in my production computer. but when I run them in my lap top, the VB scrip keep running. please see below log file.

Trace shows that the VBScript in module [checksumCC] is started by VoiceGuide and VG the wait for the script to finish running, but it never does.

 

You should really have a look at the VBScript in module [checksumCC] to see why it does not finish running...

 

If exactly the same script runs OK on another machine then looks like the test laptop you are using here does not for some reason run VBScripts properly... maybe you should try re-installing the Windows Scripting components on your test laptop...

Yes the VB and VG scrip in my laptop are the same in my production computer.

I just copy them in my laptop today. Please note I am using them in my production computer for months.

 

Per your advice I have download the Windows Scripting components and install it in my lab top. But it didn’t help. Still the vb scrip keep running.

 

Do you have any other suggestion?

The VBScript in module [checksumCC] looks fine - it does not have any loops in it etc.

 

As it works OK on your main system you should maybe start concentrating of figuring out what are the differences between your main system and the test laptop...

 

You may want to also try specifying the full path to the script's location in this line:

 

filename = "VGRUNRESULT_$RV_DEVICEID.TXT"

 

changing it to

 

filename = "C:\MyScripts\Script1\VGRUNRESULT_$RV_DEVICEID.TXT"

 

or whatever is the script's path...

 

 

Probably best to use just some standard debugging techniques like displaying msgboxes to find out which parts of the script are executed and at which stage the VBScript seems to be getting stuck on this laptop...
