Enterprise Version Transit Calls

Recommended Posts

We have got the enterprise version and it works perfect with no problem.

The only problem we see is if we want to dialer to an externat number with isdn signalling it doesn´t work. Since we hear the tones, it appears it dials with CAS signalling, but it doesn´t with isdn through the dialogic card.

It´s basically to divert the call to a call center if the IVR doesn´t provide the solution to the incoming party.

Any idea a potential solution?

Thanks a lot

Pelase tell us more about your system.

What Dialogic cards are you using and what types of lines are plugged into it.

Could you please post a copy of VoiceGuide's Debug Printout which captures the scenario which you are describing, this will allow us to see what is going on.

When running the script click on VoiceGuide's View menu and select 'Event Trace Log' option - any log information will then appear in this window. You must open the trace window before making the call.

(You can enable the automatic saving of the logs to files in \log\ directory as well.)

- Our systems consist of a dialogic pri isdn card with 30 channels.

- model dialogic card is d300sc pci bus.

- we do work only with isdn signalling (setup messages,etc.... always on timeslot 16). obviosuly not inbound tones signalling.

We have several menus, playing prompts,etc... and then we get here.

Please be aware it tries to do the call but not through the proper isdn setup messages.

It dials 627549229

Let us know why it didn´t dialing out with isdn signalling.

Many thanks in advance.

Can you make outgoing calls on that E1 with Dialogic’s ISDIAG test tool?

Does your email address end in "xtratelecom.es" ?

how can i use isdiag?

apparently is a debugger for dialogic or similar. correct?

yes my email is jlperez@xtralecom.es

do we need de vgdialer for this? to send calls out to a call center through de dialogic card.

ISDAIG is a tool from Dialogic - it should be installed on your system already in Dialogic's \bin\ directory.

To make outgoing calls from the system you will need VG Dialer.

On E1 ISDN lines the usual way to 'transfer' calls to a call center is to place a call on another channel and then connect the two calls together on the card itself (this is sometimes call 'call tromboning').

To do this with VG just use a Call Transfer module and select the "Dial and Conference" option, then specify the number to be dialed and optionally specify on which lines the call is to go out on... that's it. We have quite a few systems using this on E1 ISDN lines (and analog as well).

A common architecture it to have E1 from the telco plugged into he Dialogic card then a 4 port analog card in the same box attached to call center’s analog extensions, with any incoming E1 calls that need to be connected through to the call centre then "Dial and Conferenced" out over the analog lines...
