Guest Geoff Report post Posted 02/22/2005 05:44 AM I was wondering if it was possible to convert recorded phone messages to text? I know it would pretty hit-and-miss, but wondering if any one is doing it with any success. Thanks Geoff Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 02/22/2005 05:51 AM You're basically talking about speech recognition. Yes, it's possible, but 'understand anything' type recognition is still not very reliable... give it a couple more years probably... For limited vocabulary type applications (up to a few thousand words) it can work very well already. What do you want to use Speech Recognition for? Share this post Link to post

Guest Geoff Report post Posted 02/22/2005 06:08 AM Can you point me to any speech recognition programs that work in conjunction with VoiceGuide? Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 02/22/2005 06:37 AM You can try feeding the recorded WAV file through "Dragon Dictate" - this will probably be the best solution for transcribing messages. VoiceGuide can also work with Nuance - but I think Dragon Dictate is more what you should try to use. Share this post Link to post
