Guest Geoff Report post Posted 02/22/2005 11:36 PM I plan to have an IVR application (using VoiceGuide) set up within a few months, and I am wanting to evaluate hosting services for it, both in Australia and the USA. I plan to integrate it with some online services, so internet hosting must be integral. Probably will need a dedicated box with Dialogic cards. If you can point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it. Looking for 24/7 reliability, good suport, and good pricing of course. I am uncertain of the number of phone lines required at this stage (ISDN), but could possibly grow to a considerable size if successful. Thanks Geoff Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 02/23/2005 01:42 AM You will pretty much need to set up your own IVR box. You can then either co-locate it at an exchange or just have it in your office with T1/E1 lines coming into it. Most systems are set up on customers premises and not co-located. Guest Geoff Report post Posted 02/28/2005 05:25 AM What do yo mean "co-locate it at an exchange"? ;-) Please pardon my ignorance, but what is an "exchange", and where do I find one? Geoff Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 02/28/2005 05:43 AM "co-locating" means that a phone company will let you put your server in their telephone exchange building. If you are just starting off with IVRs then this is probably not an option you should be considering. Share this post Link to post
