Guest Mike Samson Report post Posted 03/07/2005 10:59 PM Is it possible to get a complete list of result variables that are available when using analogue phone lines with Voice Guide? Much appreciated. Thanks Mike Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 03/08/2005 12:23 AM The system RVs are listed in the Help file: http://www.voiceguide.com/vghelp/html/Resu...ltVariables.htm Share this post Link to post
Guest Geoff Report post Posted 03/10/2005 02:12 AM Thanks but this isn't a complete list of variables. (e.g. DNIS) Is there a complete list, which also differentiates between analog and digital lines? Thanks Geoff Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 03/10/2005 06:07 AM DNIS is only available on Digital lines. It can be available on analog lines if it's supplied as Inband Signaling - but in that case you would create your own RV anyway... DNIS is the only RV which would be available on Digital only. Guest Geoff Report post Posted 03/10/2005 08:53 AM It can be available on analog lines if it's supplied as Inband Signaling Would you mind explaining Inband Signalling and how we can achieve that (in Aus)? DNIS is quite important to the IVR we are developing (with VoiceGuide), and is currently the only reason we are considering digital lines initially. (Even though we may scale up to digital eventually). Thanks again for your excellent support. Geoff Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 03/10/2005 09:01 PM Inband Signaling must be supported by the PBX (very few telephone companies provide the Inband Signaling service). For info on configuring Inband Signaling see: http://www.voiceguide.com/vghelp/html/Inba...ndSignaling.htm NB. No Australian phone companies provide Inband Signaling. If you want DNIS then you'll need to get the Digital E1 ISDN lines. Share this post Link to post
