Dialogic PBX settings : Flash 30, Pause 200. Dail before Conf !, Complete Conf !3.

 

3 Way Blind conference as well Announced Conf works well when originating the call from any intercom. but it gives problem when originates from any external line.

 

Problem in 3 Way Announced conf : It puts the first call on hold at the caller side. Does dial the external line, play the announced message, on pressing any digit does nothing. and voice guide's rings back the first call and get into the ivr again. trace is as below :

Some changes to the way in which conference calls are established were made in v4.9.0 of VoiceGuide. Please download that version and try the transfers again.

Hey - i tried using vg 4.9.0

 

now what it does - it puts the caller line on hold. dials the external line, it rings on the external line - but when picked up does ot get connected to the caller line, caller line still remains on hold. though in trace i can see vg takes !3 to complete the conference and then as i have not given any success path it waits for call to finish. now again even if external line disconnecst or caller disconnects, it remains waiting..

 

so, first, it does NOT connects these lines and also does not hags up.

Is "!3" what your PBX expects to perfom the 'complete conference' or maybe your PBX expects another DTMF signal?

 

What PBX / Phone Company are you trying to make the 3 way conf work with?

 

Could you please send us a copy of VoiceGuide's Debug Printout which captures the problem, this will allow us to see what is going wrong.

I have included the trace in the very first message of mine.

 

When i use a phone handset. I can very well -

- reeive a transfer on an extension.

- use Flash, 0, 12345.. to connect to third party.

- use Flash,3 and all these three lines acutally get connected to.

 

This means, the same procedure is very well functioning, when done using a phone set.

I see from your trace that you have changed the VG.INI file to have VoiceGuide use TAPI commands to do the transfer - please change these back to the original setting of "Generate" and do an "Announced Conference" again.

(please make sure that you are using v4.9.0 of VoiceGuide).
