Guest procomm Report post Posted 05/16/2003 01:37 AM There is a feature on my KCE PBX-416 PBX system that takes the place of the "message waiting indicator". Basically the way it is supposed to work (as I understand it) is that when a voice message is left for a certain mailbox associated with an extension, the PBX will generate short rings to the extension in periodic intervals until the voicemail is retrieved. In order for this to work (based on limited help from manufacturer) is that the Voicemail Software needs to send "inband info" to the PBX including this info. "286(extension)" - Turns Message Waiting Notification - ON "287(extension)" - Turns Message Waiting Notification - OFF Is this within the scope of software, or am I overreaching here? Please advise. Thanks, Brent Prairie p.s. I have attached the page in the manual referring to this (not much detail) Share this post Link to post
