Pre-sale Development & Hardware Q's

Recommended Posts

I'm a PHP developer looking for some initial information before making a purchase recommendation to my client.

My client is interested in setting up a system where;

* multiple telephone numbers/lines in are accepted

* each conversation can be forwarded, preferably as a conference call so as to determine length of call

My questions are

1. apart from understanding the use of Voiceguide, is throrough knowledge of all the protocols etc. involved needed or does this all work transparently?

2. when the enterprise edition is used to full capacity and I want to run it off 1 server, which server requirements do you suggest?

3. from the forum I understand there is a VoIP-capable version of the software. What does this version cost at enterprise level? Is it possible to accept calls from PTSN but forward/conference (using Voiceguide that is) via VoIP? If so, which hardware would you recommend/suggest?

4. when using PHP to interface with Voiceguide, are all methods and variables exposed?

Thanks!

You should be looking at using T1/E1 ISDN lines.

All works transparently. No underlying protocol knowledge is required.

2. when the enterprise edition is used to full capacity and I want to run it off 1 server, which server requirements do you suggest?

How many lines (simultaneous calls) would you like to handle?

What does this version cost at enterprise level?

Please email sales@voicegudie.com for pricing info on that version.

Yes.

If so, which hardware would you recommend/suggest?

You would need the D/41JCT or D/120JCT Dialogic cards and a network connection, that's it.

are all methods and variables exposed

All the COM interface methods can be used from PHP.

Thanks for the quick response!

It is very difficult to gauge at this time. Initially 20-40. Number could grow if the client's project develops as he hopes.

We definitely would need to be able to grow as needed.
