3 Questions: 1)error Popup With Saynumber;

Recommended Posts

Q1. Occasionally VG displays the foll. error pop-up:

Windows Script Host - Can not find script file "C:\Program Files\VoiceGuide\data\vbs_10_SayNumber.vbs".

The file is there in the folder.

This happens only with SayNumber modules. I am not certain how the caller gets affected by this error.

I haven't trapped the log at the time, nor figured a pattern for this error.

What do you think is causing this error, and how can I fix it?

Q2. One of our 3 IVRservers has Win2000 Pro SP4 , VG5.2.063 with 8 lines running on 2 Dialogic D/4PCI cards.

2 of the 8 lines cannot take calls (1 on each D/4PCI) , and a 3rd one does only occasionally. When I turn VG's trace on and call those 2 lines, it does not sense any incoming calls. I have tried putting phone devices at the end of those lines to test the lines, they work OK. I suspect a hardware failure with D/4PCIs. How can I test the Dialogic cards' ports? What else can it be, other than hardware failure? Can these cards be fixed? Nobody carries Dialogic cards locally, and I got them from the US, hence I doubt there is a repair service for Dialogic locally.

Q3. When speaking out 100 or 1000, it sounds very funny in our language - Turkish - when we say "One Hundred" or "One Thousand"; similarly wrong to say "One Hundred Thirty Four" for 134. Instead we say "Hundred" for 100; "Thousand" for 1000 and "Hundred Thirty Four" for 134. How can we fix the SayNumber module so that it does not say the preceding "One" ??

Thank you.

1.

Which version of VoiceGuide are you using? What is the speed/memory of your machine?

Could you please post a copy of VoiceGuide's Debug Printout which captures the problem, this will allow us to see what is going on.

When running the script click on VoiceGuide's View menu and select 'Event Trace Log' option - any log information will then appear in this window. You must open the trace window before making the call.

You can enable the automatic saving of the logs to files in \log\ directory as well.

2.

If there is nothing seen in the trace when the line is ringing then it does sound like a hardware failure.

From: http://www.voiceguide.com/vghelp/html/modSayNumber.htm :

Need to change the way Say Number module speaks Amounts ?

Users can edit the way in which the numbers are spoken, or even add their own Say Number functions by editing the file: lib_num2wav.vbs located in VoiceGuide's \system\vbs\ subdirectory. This is useful if it is required to say numbers/amounts in a language other then English.

Please read the lib_num2wav.vbs file for more information.
