How Can I Put A Call On Hold?

Recommended Posts

I want to put a call on hold while I call the supervisor and explain that Mr. X is on the line. I have set the hook flash time to match my Panasonic KX-TD 1232 PBX )100ms) and want to dial !50, (to put Mr. X on hold) then dial 201 (the supervisor), play the message about Mr. X and wait for a DTMF from the supervisor.

1 if the account overdue limit is ok, 2 if the call should be transferred to the supervisor.

I don't see any way to dial strings of my choice. I've tried playing with the Blind transfer settings, putting ! as the default and 50 as the number to dial etc. but have not succeeded.

Can you guide me in the right direction please?

I think I found the answer myself in the archived forum. Seems I just use Play to send ! and DTMF's, so I can create a simple ACD system in conjuncion with looking up the right supervisor extension from a database. When you are a Newbie, everything always seems so alien and difficult for a while, then suddenly all seems much clearer!
