Acceptautocall.wav Not Playing With Outbound Calls

Recommended Posts

When an outbound call is made, all I hear is the message that I have specified. I know that the 'AcceptAutoCall.wav' file is supposed to play since I am using a voice modem, but I never hear it.

Here is the log of an outbound call that was just made.

'AcceptAutoCall.wav' is used unless an alternative prompts sound file is specified - which is what you have done.

Screenshot and trace shows that you have specified that 1234_0318101312_1_1__.wav be used as your prompt file... This is a bad approach if you are still using a voice modem - the 'prompt' file should be asking caller to basically 'press any key to accept call'.

If using a Dialoigc card the prompt file is not used at all as there is no need for it.

I will be getting a Dialogic card in the next few weeks, but would like to come up with a temporary solution.

Many of the numbers I call, will be picked up by an answering machine. My approach allows me to play the message to the answer machine instead of the 'press a button message'.

The down side is that when a person picks up, they do not know to press a button to accept the message, so they are not being removed from the outbound queue. Calls picked up by answering machines are obviously not being removed from the queue either. This is a downer, but most importantly I need the message itself to be delivered.

Is it possible to play 2 .wav files as the prompt? The first one could be informing the person to press a button to accept and the second could be the message itself. I tried to accomplish this by separating the files with a comma, but it did not work.

Thanks for your help. I am looking forward to the Dialogic card!

You will not get an acceptable message delivery system going with a voice modem.

Is it possible to play 2 .wav files as the prompt?

Please update your v5.3.2b install with attached .exe - you should be able to specify multiple comma delimited sound files for the 'prompts message' then.
