Guest chrisw Report post Posted 04/02/2005 12:43 AM Is there a way to limit the area codes and prefixes that the dialer can call on certain lines? The reason would be to limit calls made by the dialer. this would be important in mailboxes where users remotely updated their "Forward" phone number to a long distance number. Do you know if there are flat rate long distance plans that would allow this not to be a concern, for a buiness account? Share this post Link to post

You can limit what numbers callers can enter as their forwarding number. Just modify the voicemail script in which the caller enters their forwarding number to check what number was entered and not go ahead with updating of voicemail config if the number does not start with certain prefixes etc. See the voicemail script VmAdmin.vgs in VG's \system\vm\ subdirectory. Do you know if there are flat rate long distance plans that would allow this not to be a concern, for a buiness account? You should enquire with telephone companies which provide services in your area as to what plans they offer... Share this post Link to post
