Problem Transfer

Dear,

 

I have a problem with transfering people to an internal line (548). I use a dialogic D/PCIU card and the PBX announced transfer. What happens is that voiceguide calls the 548 but drops the caller on the line immediatly when he chooses the option to get transfered to a person. The person on 548 gets a message to accept the call... But the person who called has already dropped by voiceguide.

 

I hope you can help me solving this problem...

Have you used both approaches as described in Help file?

esp the .PRM file approach....

 

What value have you set the hookflash settings to?

What hookflash does your PBX expect?

I tried the two approaches. But still it is not working. I changed the file eu_d4p.prm. I also restarted the service. When I press 3 to get transfered the call is immediatly interrupted and in the log there is a timeout.

 

I don't know which hookflash the pbx is expecting.

 

Also the callerid is not working. Is this also caused by this. I checked your forum a dozen times and tried everything for the callerid. But also this is not working. Contacting the dialogic dealer in belgium is not helpfull. The said I should contact Intel. However Intel is also not responding to my questions...

Can you do hookflash transfers on that line using a normal analog handset?

 

Try reducing the value to 5 or even 1 and see if that makes any difference.

When I had the same problem, it was a combination of hook-flash length and then when that was fixed, I had a problem with disconnect-tone detection, as my PBX gives dial-tone same as disconnect-tone, as the line sees this just after the hook-flash before dialling the ext number. Solution was to increase disconnect tone detection timing by pushing it out to 2.5/3 secs (as VG has a 1 or 2 second 'built-in" wait-after-flash delay - its a combination of something in the VG.INI and a 1 sec built in constant). That fixed it. (Set the delay in the on/off time in the TSP disconnect tone settings). Good luck - Tim.

Oh, and by the way, I had to set the hook-flash in the dialogic parameter file as the settings in the TSP dialog screen are just ignored!!

I have now upgraded to voiceguide 6.0.2 for dialogic. And everything is working now!!!
