Guest David Report post Posted 05/27/2005 03:48 AM Hello Since applying SP2 to WinXP Pro, we get an error under the following conditions. Re-start the computer. It is set to automatically log on (to a domain) In the Startup Folder it runs VGMulti A dialog box pops up with the following message: Init Error: dlgc dx_open(dxxxB1) error 2 (ENOENT|No such file or directory; invalid device name; file or path not found.) If I click the OK button (the only choice), the program appears to continue normally. If I close it down and then re-start the program, the message does not get displayed again. SupportTeam Report post Posted 05/27/2005 05:00 AM Maybe the Dialogic service did not have time to start before starting VG... Try introducing some delay before starting VoiceGuide to allow Dialogic service to finish starting first.. use a batch file to start VG and in batch file have some delay first... Guest David Report post Posted 05/27/2005 05:29 AM Thanks for the suggestion. I tried that - 30 second delay with "sleep" but it didn't make a difference Anything else? David Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 05/27/2005 05:44 AM Could you please do this: 1. close VG 2. delete all files in VG's \log\ subdirectory 3. reboot system 4. when error occurs do a screenshot of the error (use Shift-Print Screen) 5. let VG finish initialization 6. post the screenshot and all traces created in VG's \log\ subdirectory Share this post Link to post
Guest David Report post Posted 05/27/2005 07:06 AM Seems I can only attach one file so I've zipped the screen dump and the three txt files. David errorstuff.zip Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 05/27/2005 08:42 AM The error indicates that the Dialogic drivers/service report have not found the card. It looks like they are just not started yet... If you restart Windows then wait, say, 1 or 2 minutes before starting VG manually then do you get such error? Starting VG from a batch file should be no different. Try increasing the time in your batch file and see at what time it starts to work... Share this post Link to post
