ktruk Report post Posted 06/12/2005 04:13 PM Hi, I wonder if there is a way to stop VG answering new calls, prior to a shutdown? I want all current calls to end as designed, but no new calls to be taken. Is there a way to do this? One way I have considered is to load a "nocalls" script using the designer into VG, so that when VG starts running this script on each call, nothing happens. I just don't know what to put in the script !?! I don't want to run a VBS script, like suggested previously, examining $RVs if I can help it. I wondered about some form of "run before answering" script, which does nothing, (ie: no "play" module) so the call doesn't answer. Ideally, I want something that will doesn't require a lot of manual input and is easy to do/undo as needed. I also wondered about setting the number of rings on each line to some silly high number (99?) so that the dialogic card takes ages to answer, but I can't set them all at once, and could be very tedious! Please advise... thx. Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 06/13/2005 01:11 AM The easiest way is to set the script to "Start the script without answering call" - and in the first module do a test for a presence of some file or setting on DB or whatever to see if you may want to abandon answering the call - and if you do then just go to a Hangup module - the script will then finish and the call will never be answered. see: http://www.voiceguide.com/vghelp/html/Call%20Start.htm Share this post Link to post
