Voiceguide Trouble Answering Calls And Rrunning Sc

Recommended Posts

We are updating to a PRI with a dialogic 240 JCT card. I have installed voiceguide and implemented the patch found on yout download page. I am running your Credit Card script as a test. After I start Voiceguide the first call is answered and the Credit Card script runs. On remaining calls to the same number the caller ID pops in the pop-up box but the script does not run. I restart Voiceguide and the script works again. I am attaching the mmddtw og file.

Which ISDN protocol is used on these lines and which ISDN protocol has been set in the Dialogic DCM?

These types of problems are usually protocol related.

Trace shows that after last restart the following calls were made with these results:

095659 answered ok

095929 answer fail

095942 answered ok

100104 answer fail

100111 answer fail

100118 answer fail

100126 answer fail

So not all subsequent calls after the first one failed - 3rd call was answered OK as well.

It looks like the protocol here is not set quite right. If you are unable to find a protocol setting that works then we can start getting into tracing of the ISDN messages themselves to find out what the actual problem is on the ISDN level, but I'd suggest re-confirming the protocol with the telephone company first, and then speaking with the Dialogic distributor in your area to see if maybe they have previous experience with Dialogic’s ISDN drivers and ISDN lines with that phone company and what Dialogic driver changes were required to make connection with this phone company work.

Have you tried testing this line using Dialogic's ISDIAG tool? All the calls on this line arrive on the first channel so it should be easy to test using ISDIAG.

Can you tell me what the DID should be Dialogic JCT 240 card?

The Protocol is set to NI2 on the card and from the Telco.

Which setting are you referring to?

DID is usually the number sent by the telco to indicate what number the caller dialed.

Have you tried testing this line using Dialogic's ISDIAG tool?

I have tired ISDIAG, and it did not indicate errors. Which tests should I run?

The Telco asked what I wanted the DID to be. They also call it the 'Number of Digits'

So you have been able to answer multiple calls one after another with no problems using ISDAIG?

Would it be possible for us to have access to this machine using PCAnywhere so that we can run a few tests?

The Telco asked what I wanted the DID to be. They also call it the 'Number of Digits'

maybe they mean how many digits of the number the caller dialed will be forwarded to you? Just ask them to forward the maximum number they can... ie: the whole number dialed by caller.

I can make multiple calls.

What message do you get if the call is answered? When receiving calls if within ISDIAG, I choose option 11 restart and wait call I get the message

Facility message received IE: 1C 12 9F 8B 01 00 A1 0C 02 01 01 02 01 00 80 04 53 52 56 53

If I then hangup ISDIAG has the message Disconnect

I call again without doing option 11 and get the message received CCEV_TASKFAIL

Can not accept event in current state S Error message too big or too small

When watching the screen closely I noticed another message and was able to save it within a screen shot - received CONNECT ACK message from NETWORK

GETDNIS Error: Message too big or too small

From your two last posts it is apparent that the protocol used by your Telephone company is different to that expected by the Dialogic drivers.

have you spoken to your local Dialogic distributor about this?

They should know each phone company's actual protocols and how the Dialogic card must be setup to work with them. The local Dialogic distributor should assist you to the point of getting the card working with ISDAG.
