Guest Jack_VR Report post Posted 06/27/2005 07:54 PM Hi, The readme.txt of VG 4 Dialogic says: All sound files used with this system should be in following format: “PCM 8 kHz 8 bit Mono". But the old sound files were "PCM, 11kHz, 8 bit, Mono", why are we going backward? And the quality of the sound file of "PCM 8 kHz 8 bit Mono" is horrible. What's the reason we have to go this way? Regards, Jack Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 06/27/2005 10:18 PM It's not 'going backwards'. Telephone lines can only transmit up to about 3kHz (and 4kHz on high quality ISDN lines). A properly recorded 8kHz sound file will sound better then a downsampled 11kHz file. VG for Dialogic is capable of delivering better sound quality then "VG for TAPI". Share this post Link to post
