madwhit Report post Posted 07/28/2005 02:42 PM We are needing to expand our IVR but the boards we use, D240JCT-T1, are no longer available from Intel. We have found someone who has some D240JCT-T1 U boards. Because of customer deadlines we do not have the time to learn how to use new boards. We were told that the U boards should work fine, but I would really like to know what the difference is before purchasing them. I found a site that said the D240JCT U boards can be used in either a 3.3 volt slot or a 5 volt slot where as the older boards require a 3.3 volt slot. Is that the only difference? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Don. Share this post Link to post
Guest Dan Schramm Report post Posted 07/28/2005 04:37 PM I am not an expert, but older motherboards and backplanes use 12v and 5v. 3.3v is for more modern boards. I would say the older cards use 5 and 12, not 3.3v. If you can use these boards depends upon your motherboard or backplane and sbc and if your power supplies put out 3.3v. I have a 4u 20 slot industrial server with a dual Celeron cpu sbc and I know that system uses only 12 and 5v, plus and minus. Hope this is of some help. Share this post Link to post
