Software Doesn't Work After Registering

Today i bought a copy of VG Professional for 16 lines. The software simply hangs up when register it. We are using a dialogic DSCLS16 Rev2 Card.

 

The software runs well if uninstalled and reinstalled. It runs well on re-installation.

But if we register it, it again hangs up and stops responding. The software also runs will with 16 lines using other IVR products.

 

We tried using only 3 or 4 lines in registered mode, it still throws up errors. But all the four lines run well in unregistered mode.

 

Please guide us as to what can be going wrong.

What version of VoiceGuide are you running? (v5.2.4 or some earlier version?)

What are the errors? Can you post some screenshots?

 

Can we get access to this machine using PCAnywhere or WinVNC?

We are using the latest version. 5.2.4.

 

We are using windows XP as the OS, we have also tried windows 2000 on the same machine.

 

The machine is based on a Pentium III 1 GHZ processor with 512 MB ram.

40 GB HDD.

 

We find the system working well with IVM and Voiceangel.

 

I dont think there is much to show in screen shots as it simply shows up voiceguide and the hourglass remains on all the time, we tried waiting for more than 25 minutes. At times it simply crashes. We have tried rebooting, re-installing Intel dialogic release again. Nothing seems to be working.

 

With regards to remote access, i am not sure if we can provide that as the machine is not connected to the internet directly but at a location that has poor dial up access. Secondly I will have to take the permission from other directors to let someone remotely access the machine.We are yet ready to attempt that.

 

As we have invested substantial sum on this. I shall also try and send a screenshot

If the unregistered version of VG starts OK then we cannot think of a reason why you would see problems once the registration is applied.

 

Which Dialogic System Release drivers are you using?

 

I'd suggest sending an email to sales@voiceguide.com referencing this thread and asking for a 4 line license as well - just to see if you get different results.

 

Also, please enable logging to /log/ directory and then post the logs that are generated when app hangs on startup.

 

Another option is to try the VG for Dialogic version - again send email to sales@voiceguide.com for registration codes.
