Dial A Number From Dialogic D 4/pci

Hi

 

i have just installed a 4d/pci card on win xp and tested the card with configuration manager,its working but how can I dial a phone number by using d4/pci card I tried to use TAPI no errors but I cannot hear any ring tones when I dialed I just connected from channel 1 to the socket I dont have a PBX ,how can i check whether the messages is played .Is there any other way
