ktruk Report post Posted 09/08/2005 03:09 PM I understand that VG supports the CAPI ISDN standard and that cards that conform to CAPI can be used with VG "as-is" and they should work similarly to a TAPI compatible card with the TAPI VG. What I want to know is if there are any specific limitations to CAPI, ie: will CAPI work *just* like TAPI in voiceguide or are there any "gotchas" in the system? Do you recommend any specific CAPI hardware? I am looking to install a small-scale ISDN pilot with say 2 or 4 ISDN lines only. A 30 line dialogic card cannot be justified at this time so I am looking at just using a low-cost CAPI card. Specifically, I need access to the DNIS (Calling Line ID), so as a minimum, I need this function supported (as well as Caller-ID). Thanks. Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 09/09/2005 05:55 AM To use CAPI cards you need to install the ComISDN driver. Otherwise it's exactly the same as if using a voice modem - with the added benefit of DNIS being available. Share this post Link to post
