SupportTeam Report post Posted 09/20/2005 08:53 PM Some Voice modems have such problems. For a 4 line solution you should really get a Dialogic card. See: http://www.voiceguide.com/suppRecomHardware.htm Share this post Link to post
Guest Abdullah Report post Posted 09/23/2005 01:09 AM No one selling Dialogic card or other telephony card in UAE,, Also no need for 4 line Dialogic card, i just want my VoiceGuide to work with 2 good modem only! SupportTeam Report post Posted 09/23/2005 02:57 AM As mentioned before: Some Voice modems have such problems. Also many modem manufacturer's drivers do not handle multiple modem setups well. You only options is to play the modem roulette - trying and testing various modems one after another to see if you find any that work for you, or get a Dialogic card. Most people give up on modems in the long run... Share this post Link to post
Guest Abdullah Report post Posted 09/23/2005 11:08 PM Dear, Sorry again but, i cant find Dailogic card here.. Also i find the Modem much beter than Dailogic card in Sound Quality... Normal Voice Modem use: 8kHz, 16 Bit, Mono. but the Dailogic card use: 8kHz, 8 bit, Mono. I already dont have any problem when using one modem in voice guide,, the modem is stable and good performance.. You only options is to play the modem roulette - trying and testing various modems one after another Yes, i try it,, but not worth.. The problem is much easy than Modem Roulete.. The solution is simple: The Software (VoiceGuide) control the hardware (Modem), i think one small code will fix the problem and trun my 2nd Modem to be "Available", And final note: My Modems dont have problems/conflict in most other Communication Softwares. SupportTeam Report post Posted 09/23/2005 11:58 PM The reason why the modem becomes "Unavailable" is because the modem drivers send that message. The modem drivers tell VoiceGuide that the modem is unavailable and VoiceGuide just relays that information. I already dont have any problem when using one modem in voice guide,, the modem is stable and good performance.. Looks like modem's drivers do not handle a scenario where more then one modem is installed on the system. We have seen this before with a few other modems. Your requests to get this fixed should be directed to the modem manufacturer. Normal Voice Modem use: 8kHz, 16 Bit, Mono. but the Dailogic card use: 8kHz, 8 bit, Mono. What sound format the sound file is input into a telephony device has little bearing on the sound quality which the device plays out in the end. Sounds like the sound quality of the modem you have found is satisfactory nonetheless. My Modems dont have problems/conflict in most other Communication Softwares. What other IVR type software are you using with these modems? Does that software use TAPI/Wave drivers as well? Most other IVR programs do not use wave drivers (the older v2.9 or VoiceGuide did not use Wave drivers either - you can still download and try v2.9 is you'd like from our Downloads page) Share this post Link to post
