Guest DaveCleveland Report post Posted 10/17/2005 03:20 PM If I pick up a call to answer it live, VG still comes on and starts the auto-attendant script. How do I prevent this? Using a D/4PCI card. Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 10/18/2005 12:40 AM If you pick the phone handset up before VoiceGuide hears the number of rings set in "Rings before Answer" setting then VoiceGuide will not answer the call. What is the current "Rings before Answer" setting ? Share this post Link to post
Guest DaveCleveland Report post Posted 10/18/2005 02:39 AM It is set to two rings, which is actually three because the dialogic card waits one ring before taking a call. The problem seems to be caused by timing: the script begins at the end of the third ring, but if the call is not picked up before the end of the first ring, it seems like the call has been answered live but then the script greeting interrupts. Is there something I can put in the script to check if the line is already off-hook and abort the greeting before it plays any sound? Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 10/18/2005 03:37 PM The only way is to pick up the handset before VoiceGuide hears the number of rings after which it was programmed to answer the call. Sounds like you should be setting this to a value larger then 3. Share this post Link to post
