Scalability of VoiceGuide IVR

Recommended Posts

I wana support 500 simultaneous users in VoiceGuide.

I know it can be achieved multiple servers. But Is each VoiceGuide server good enough to support 240 users with good performance? 240 is what it can support on paper. What is the maximum load it can take practically. Please provide me real picture so that i can plan things accordingly.

It all depends on how powerful is the server, and how much work the script and associated database needs to do while handling the call.

If the script is pretty straightforward then 240 is quite achievable on the P4 3GHz 1GB RAM type systems, especially if some lines are not actively processing events but are used to just connect people talking to each other.

If the script runs large time-consuming VBScripts and/or there is a large local database which takes a lot of CPU time when processing requests then the number of lines handled may need to be reduced.

If you are running complex scripts then you should start with about 120 lines and then see how much CPU power the system has left and then add lines as possible.

I assume you've seen this test:

I have read the Load test results and agree to the previous feedback.

Can you please refer me at least one customer who has deployed voiceguide for over 500 simultaneous users.

thanks.
