Single Red Light On Dialogic D-300

Recommended Posts

Can anyone assist?

I have a customer who uses two Dialogic D-300 cards. Both are seemingly fully operational. However, one of the cards shows a single red light, which when displayed alongside the usual green light, would normally show that the card has been set into loopback mode.

However, I had a look at this on a test box, and when the jumpers are set to loopback, both the red AND green lights show. Plus, one is unable to place a call over the card.

Below this, the usual green 'traffic light' is shown below.

When the two cards were swapped over recently, the red light remained on the same card - so this does not seem to be a line fault.

I cannot find a state where only the red light would be displayed. Although the customer is dialling as normal, I would like to be able to reassure them that this is not a pre-cursor to anything more sinister!

Any help or advice would be gratfully recieved.

You should contact your Intel/Dialogic supplier to ask them why the card behaves in that way.

Thanks for the advice. I have placed a call with the suppliers and am still awaiting a response.

In the meantime, i just looked at that photo again. The two cards have their red and green lights in opposite positions to each other. Could this be a simple manufacturing fault?

Not sure offhand if the postions of green and red LEDs were always the same on all E1 cards manufactured - for questions like these is best to go through the Intel/Dialogic supplier...

Are these cards both brand new D/300JCT cards or are they D/300SCs or some other?

Check the card serial numbers or other manufacturing numbers. If they are close, the LEDS could be a manufacturing mixup !!
