The company I want to run test on, has a Carin-96 PABX system. The operator uses a special console/management device to receive the calls, Human operator picking up the headset and transfer to appropriate internal number using console keypad. My question is, where should the PC running voiceguide and D/4PCI should be seated so that call transfer feature using dialogic can work? The company has 2 external numbers connected to Carin 96 PABX system. Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 11/08/2005 10:08 PM If you want to do call transfers to PBXs other extensions then the IVR should be attached to the PBX's extensions as well - so that you can transfer calls using standard hookflash transfers. Share this post Link to post
Guest Amin Report post Posted 11/09/2005 03:33 AM The IVR should replace human operator and answer external line directly and make call transfer to Internal PBX externsion. The operator then should be just as a back where the caller does not know the correct extension number. Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 11/09/2005 03:46 AM Whenever you have a PBX and want to transfer calls to other extensions on the PBX then the IVR should be attached to the PBXs extensions as well. (How else would you be able to transfer calls otherwise?) The PBX should be set up to direct any incoming outside calls to the IVR and the IVR can then transfer them out as required - to other extensions. The operator is just on one of the extensions as well. Share this post Link to post
