We are new at this.

 

But we would like to use Meridian Norstar with voiceguide to create a autodialer.

Please, help with steps of accomplishing this.

Just attach analog extensions from the PBX to the ports on the Dialogic card which is controlled by VoiceGuide.

Will this be able to do extension transfer i.e. when press 0 to be connected to the operator?

Should be no problem.

Pretty much all PBXs support hookflash transfers.

And if it does not then you can always use a "Dial and Conference" type transfer...

Do I need to purchase a

0x8 Norstar Analog Station Module (ASM) for the meridian?

 

When you talked about the "analog extension" is that like faxes, modem?

There are two ways to do this:

 

1. Get a Dialogic D/82JCT card (Meridian Norstar model) and connect it to the PBX's digital extensions which normally just plug into the Nortel digital handsets.

 

2. Get analog card fro the PBX and use an analog Dialogic board.

 

Option 1 will let the VoiceGuide system receive CallerID and information display messages from the PBX as well - so it's usually the better choice - especially if you do not have spare analog lines to which an analog Dialogic card can be attached.
