telecom5 Report post Posted 06/16/2003 03:50 PM When we call into the voice guide and dial an extention the caller is hearing the "This is a transfered call" recording. If they push 1, the call disconnects them, never connecting to the extention. I don't want the caller hearing the transfered call recording, simply to go to the dial extention. I have come across this before and have changed it by just messing around, but I cannot recall what I did to fix. 616.txt Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 06/17/2003 03:19 AM It looks like the call has not been put on hold - and the caller would have been hearing the destination extension's digits being dialed as well as the "This is a transfered call" announcement. The call will not be put on hold if the PBX/Phone Company does not detect the hookflash issued by your telephony card. Most likely the current hookflash length is too short. Do you know what is the hookflash length expected by your PBX/Phone Company? Once you know what the hookflash length should be, you can set your telephony card to use that length hookflash. Most voice modems do not allow the user the set the hookflash length – that’s why we recommend using telephony cards for call transferring applications so that you can always match the cards hookflash length to what your PBX needs. If you are using a voice modem I'd recommend contacting the modem manufacturer to find out if there is a way to get the hookflash length of the modem changed to match your PBX.
