SupportTeam Report post Posted 02/05/2003 12:37 AM Hello, I am considering setting up IVG for my company. The first location I will attempt to setup this program is my laptop. The laptop has a conexant-Ambit softk56 internal modem. Reading these board messages I see that usage of internal modems is downplayed due to speach quality. Well back to the subject at hand. After the program is fully installed, I run IVG and recieve a message saying that my modem doesn't support automated voice mode or it's "drivres" (drivers) were incorrectly instaled. It goes on to say that I need to check to make sure that the devices wave drivers are correctly installed. I would like to know how to do this. I spoke to some people extremely familiar with modems in general and was assured that the modem model I was using was a voice modem. Perplexed, Mark Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 02/05/2003 12:38 AM To see if modem's wave drivers are installed: Windows 9x/Me: Open the Windows Control Panel Double click on the System Icon Click the Device Manager TAB Click the + next to Sound, video and game controllers. Check if the "Wave Device for Voice Modem" driver appears. Windows 2000/XP: Open the Windows Control Panel Double click on the System Icon Click the Hardware TAB and Device Manager button Click the + next to Sound, video and game controllers. Check if the "UniModem Half-Duplex Audio Device" driver appears. Share this post Link to post
