Voiceguide Not Answering

Hi,

I installed VoiceGuide and tried to play a sample wave file.

The phone is getting hungup after couple of rings. I have a Broadxent v.92 PCI Modem. Has somebody experienced this problem. I am using a trial version of Voice Guide.

Most likely your modem is not a voice capable modem, or it's wave drivers are not correctly installed...

 

Could you please post a copy of VoiceGuide's Debug Printout which captures the incoming call, this will allow us to see what happened.

 

When running the script click on VoiceGuide's View menu and select 'Event Trace Log' option - any log information will then appear in this window. You must open the trace window before making the call.

 

When posting traces/scripts please .ZIP them up and post them as attachements.

Modem is voice capable and I found it listed in the recommended modems sections of VoiceGuide forum.

 

Attached herewith is the Debug Printout.

Please let me know how this can be solved.

Trace shows no incoming calls reported by the modem to the software...

Have you tried making an outgoing data/fax call with this modem to make sure that the phone line etc are fine?

I tried outgoing calls using Telephone dialer in VG and it plays the vgs file too. However on incoming it does not answer. At about 10 sec i notice a click as it swtiches to the modem but it hangs up the call in about 15 sec.

I think you may have some other application that controls the modem, and it is answering the incoming calls instead of VG...

No other application is controlling the Modem.

 

Has anyone tried using this voice modem ( Broadxent v.92 PCI )?

If so did you get a response from voiceguide.
