Dialogic 4 Board

Recommended Posts

I downloaded all Intel software/drivers for my Dialog/4 ISA card. The card would initialize fine with the GENLOAD driver in Win98 prior to downloading the "newer" software. Now, I cannot even initialize the card as the firmware now reports as "version 0.0." Where can I download the firmware to where my card can be read?

Thanks, John

Your only option is to contact Intel.

As the card would be out of warranty it'd probably be cheaper to buy a new card.

Actually, I purchased this board in 1996 when it was Dialogic. It has a lifetime warranty. A little more information: I downloaded the system release 5.1.1 for Windows and I re-read it...it states that the boards will shut down after 10 hours of use. Any place that my original firmware might have been dumped to?

Thanks!

The 10 hour limit applies to some FP1 and onwards releases.

Have you tried using the old version the drivers - like the 5.1.1 itself?

I believe it was the 5.1.1 driver(s) and software which zapped my firmware...I'll check it again though.

Thanks!

OK, I downloaded the 5.1.1 file (phew) and I don't see a "no-brainer" way to reflash the firmware. Is there a utility I should be looking for? I've run the Intel Dialogic Configuration Manager with the same settings that worked yesterday (as well as changing the IRQ to others) with no luck...I've also run the Universal Diagnostic Utility...it finds a board but reports the following:

System Download ....

ERROR from pCTBB_SetCLientParm (bus type support level):

CTBB_ERROR_INVALID_CLIENT_TYPE: Client type (technology) invalid

D/41D (addr D000) Download .. Firmware Version 0.00

Any ideas????

Thanks,

John
