Guest Mike Report post Posted 01/31/2006 01:33 AM I have a Dialogic system that was on two very old PCs (4 Gig HD) that I am trying to move both dialogic boards to a new PC with an AMD sempron 3300+, I gig of Ram, Windows 2000 Pro with service pack 4 and lots of HD space. I installed one dialogic D/4-pci board and the Dialogic 5.1.1 drivers and software (all 363 MB of it) with the Service Pack update. The dialogic boards were found. (I did not have the boards active before I installed the VG software, but they were found and configured) I instaled the VG with the VG for Dialogic patches and updated the voice files to the ones for Dialogic from the VG site. The Voice files were recorded at PCM 11K 8bit mono and had worked fine on the older system. We had a licence for VG w/Dialer (4 lines times 2) with the original set up. I am using this as an outgoing telemarketing system using qualified leads. When I tried out the system after installing all the updates and drivers and such I test dialed my cell phone, VG dialed and all the call managment and routing software worked as before. HOWEVER, the sound that I heard over the telephone was frequency shifted down and sounded slowed as well as frequency shifted. Inteligable but wierd... So what do you think I forgot to do, set, adjust, or whatever? Any words of advice when it comes time to move the second card into this PC? Mike Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 01/31/2006 01:39 AM VG for Dialogic always used 8kHz sound files. 11kHz sound files will play 'slower'. Share this post Link to post
Guest Mike Report post Posted 01/31/2006 03:21 AM OK I missed the last paragraph. I read the first about Dialogic and 11K and that must have been what the old sytem was using (I inherited the system from the old tech) "Dialogic Wave driver prefers sound files in the following format: PCM 11025Hz, 8bit, Mono. When using a Dialogic card, all sound files should be recorded in the above format." So when I updated the VG with the patch for Dialogic then the following standard should have been used. OK got it, now to go down sample all my wave files... "If you are using 'VoiceGuide for Dialogic' then sound files should be recorded in the following format: PCM 8000Hz, 8bit, Mono." One more question, how do I move the license from the old hard drive to the new one on the new system? Mike Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 01/31/2006 03:24 AM One more question, how do I move the license from the old hard drive to the new one on the new system? If your license was linked to the Dialogic card then the license will work in any system that Dialogic card is placed in. If you have any licensing related questions just send them direct to sales@voiceguide.com. Share this post Link to post
