bermuda Report post Posted 06/24/2003 12:33 PM Hi, could anyone tell me how I would go about setting up a call queuing system, so that if all lines are busy, caller's will hear a "please wait" sound file, and then once a line is available, they would enter the script as normal? Thanks in advance. Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 06/25/2003 01:30 AM Are you referring to what the caller will hear if all the VoiceGuide lines are busy? That would depend on what the telephone company providing the lines (or the PBX which provides the extensions) would do when they can't route another call to VoiceGuide's extensions... You will need to speak your phone company or PBX supplier to find out what options are available to you... What is sometimes done if you have a number of lines answered by VoiceGuide is that the Phone Company / PBX are set up to always ensure that calls arrive on the 'lowest lines' first - so that if ever a call arrived on the 'highest line' then this means that all other lines are busy - and on this 'highest line' VoiceGuide runs a different script - one which asks callers to either call back later or transfers them out of the system...
