BBMT Report post Posted 02/03/2006 06:11 PM I have a small remote office with 2 call center agents that we need to better quality monitor.. I need a small 2/4 port device that will play a message, then record all calls specifically for quality monitoring by a supervisor at the main location. This office is not on our network. Your FAQ states that VoiceGuide can be used as a recorder. When this WAV file is created, will it carry the Caller ID info with it, as well as time and date stamps? Is there an opportunity to add notes to this file? Is the file easy to retrieve and is cataloguing of these files available? My feel is that my application might be better suited to two devices: – the IVR for Voice Prompts, general info and the pre-call recording announcement - And an external call recording device that will have some contact management functionality. Do you agree? In another Post the “NICE” Product was recommended and even though that is a very good product, it is way out of our financial budget. (I need to stay under $5000 for the entire solution including your stuff as well as the recording / announcement stuff) Do you know of another , that will work with your product and possibly reside in the same box as yours without conflict? Or do you have any other suggestions? I was thinking about possibly using one of the following: - Call Saver Pro by DynaMetric - Smart Phone Recorder - CallAudit Voice - Advanced Call Recorder by RaysLab - VoicePrint – I believe this one is going to cost to much I am open to other input on these or other solutions. BTW- I am correct in my understanding that you can do the Announcement (recoded message indicating call will be recorded) correct? BTW- Can you play MOH or play an add while a call is on hold? FYI – Today –this office is not behind a PBX – They are on POTS lines. However, Management has stated that they may soon be putting a small Key system or small PBX or change to Centrex Lines in the near future to add functionality to the phones. VOIP was discussed but is not a realistic option where they are. Sorry about the long Post I appreciate the Help and advice. Thanks in advance Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 02/08/2006 11:50 PM VoiceGuide can be used as a call recorder. In the simplest scenario on analog lines which support a 3-way conference it can be used to setup the 3-way call and the record the conversation. In other scenarios VoiceGuide will accept an incoming call and then make a call on another line. After connecting the two lines together VG can record what is happening on both lines into the one file (an add-on needs to be purchased to let you do this). The CallerID and other information can be embedded in the recorder sound file's name, or TTS'd and appended into the sound file itself - you just setup the script appropriately.
